We cruised from Vero Beach up to Titusville, FL today, about 75 miles. We decided to stay here 3 days to see Cape Canaveral and whatever else
We were on the flybridge with temps at 74 degrees (a little cool). We started bringing Daisy up to the flybridge, which she enjoys.
There were these little islands all along the ICW. They are uninhabited, probably all tangled undergriwth inside but pretty from the outside. We rarely saw anybody on them.

We did see lots of dolphins (porpoises) today. They surfed our wake and jumped merrily, sometimes up to five of them at a time. When we're on the bridge, we notice them because we can hear the slap as they hit the water after a jump. There have probably been dolphins in our wake a hundred times and we missed them because we just didin't happen to look then.

As we were passing the NASA shuttle assembly building (shown in the background in this picture) we saw a huge gathering of cormorants. There has to be at least 2,000 cormorants in this flotilla. They weren't diving for fishI have never seen this or heard of this before, but then there are lots of things new to me on this trip.
