Wow - This Hudson River is really beautiful cruising scenery!

It's a grand succession of steep, wooded mountains coming down to the water that's frequently over 100 ft. deep, and even with another cool, misty day we were constantly struck by the beauty of this valley. Sometimes verdant hills with houses that obviously have great river views, and sometimes just all green and natural where it's too steep to build and there are parks along the river.

We passed 4 or 5 scenic lighthouses.

We also passed West Point. We didn't see all of the cadets throwing their hats in the air.... must not have been graduation day today.

We're at the Catskill, NY Marina now and we'll stay here 3 days to see Hyde Park (Roosevelt homes), the Vanderbuilt mansion, the Rockefeller mansion, the Culinary Institute's bookstore, Wilderstein, maybe a winery or two, and whatever else we find.
