We stayed at the very nice Patten Point Yacht Club in Long Branch, NJ for 3 nights.

Fellow Hatteras Owner's Forum member, Walter Pereiera is a member here and got us prime dock space for a great price and even loaned us his car for 2 days! We had met Walter and his wife, Monica, at the Hatteras boat displays at the Miami Boat Show in February. Are the Hatteras Owner's Forum members great people, or what?
Kathy and I mostly just went out to see the area, restocked the boat supplies and took Daisy to a groomer to get her clipped for her "summer" haircut. The picture above is the well known "twin lights" overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from the Shrewsbury River. They're not actual operating lighthouses, but they look like it.

We went out to dinner with Walter and Monica, and also sat around the yacht club docks for a little "grazing" where everybody brings different appetizers and sits to swap stories on the dock. Very entertaining and nice people. Walter has a 48 ft. Hatteras motoryacht ("Guppy") which he has completely restored and even improved beyond the original interior layout. He does his own woodwork plus metalwork, electrical, etc., and has really done a great job. I think he's going to finish it off with stabilizers from Stabilized Marine in Florida that installed ours stabilizers.

Tomorrow, we're cruising into New York City, past the Statue of Liberty. I'm looking forward to that. I got tickets for a Broadway play on Sunday.
